The HBO Max comedy series starring Sebastian Maniscalco adds four to the cast

HBO Max’s upcoming comedy series “How to Be a Bookie” has added four new cast members..

In addition to previously announced series lead Sebastian Maniscalco, the series now also stars Omar J. Vanessa Ferlito (“NCIS: New Orleans”, “Death Proof”) and Jorge Garcia (“Lost”, “The Munsters”). Full character descriptions are below.

Dorsey is represented by Creative Artists, Adapted Entertainment and Stone Geno. Anders is repped by Gersh and Main Entertainment. Ferlito was supported by creative artists. Garika is presented by LINK Entertainment and APA.

“How to Be a Bookie” was ordered by HBO Max in October with an eight-series order. It comes from entrepreneurs Chuck Lorre and Nick Bakay. The series stars Maniscalco as Danny, as “a veteran bookie who struggles to survive the legality of sports gambling, increasingly unstable clients, family, colleagues, and lifestyle around every corner of Los Angeles, high and low.”

Lorre and Bakay executive produce with Maniskaco. Judy Marmel also executive produces. Warner Bros. It is a television studio. Chuck Lorre Productions is currently under an overall deal with WBTV. The show will mark Lorre’s first series on HBO Max.

Characteristics:

Omar J. Dorsey as “Ray” – Danny’s partner in their LA-based book business, Ray is as tough as he is complex. His promising NFL career ended in injury, leaving him and his grandfather who raised him scrambling to make ends meet.

Andreas as “Sandra” – A beautiful ex-Vegas cocktail waitress with a 10-year-old son, Sandra is Danny’s estranged wife at the time. Life hasn’t been easy for her and Danny proves to be a tough ticket.

Vanessa Ferlito as “Lorraine” – A crazy smart and stone-cold criminal, Lorraine is Danny’s sister and the office manager of the book operation, although she doesn’t limit her criminal activities to writing books.

Jorge Garcia as “Hector” – A weed dealer whose business started when pot was legalized, Hector is a warning to Danny and Ray when they look into legalizing sports betting in the states. Now he’s switched to driving an elevator and nobody’s excited about it, if Hector finds himself an invaluable, occasionally irreplaceable asset to the operation.
