Simu Liu is attached to direct the series adaptation of Ben Mezrich’s novel “Seven Wonders,” which is currently in development at Amazon. Difference He confirmed.

According to the official synopsis, the series follows “Amazing botanist-adventurer Dr. Nate Grady (Liu) teams up with slick internationalist Sloane Seydoux in a breathless race to solve an ancient mystery surrounding the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World.”

Adam Cozad (“The Legend of Tarzan,” “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit”) is attached to write and adapt, with Justin Lin on board to direct and executive produce via Perfect Storm Entertainment. The Perfect Storm is executive produced by Salvador Gatdula and Andrew Schneider alongside Scott Sheldon of Bo Flynn’s Flynn picture. Perfect Storm is Universal Television Studios under a general agreement. At Amazon, the idea for the show came from Flynn and Mezrich, who developed the book together.

Liu is best known for playing the title role in the Marvel film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. He will next appear in films such as “Barbie” with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, and “King Arthur” with Mark Wahlberg. Before “Shang-Chi,” Liu was known for his TV roles, particularly in the CBC comedy series “Kim’s Comfort.”

He is repped by CAA, Real Talent and Literary Management and Sloan Supply.

Lin is primarily known for his feature directorial efforts — like the “Fast and Furious” franchise — but has also directed several television shows throughout his career. These include reboots of both “SWAT” and “Magnum PI” on CBS, “True Detective” on HBO and “Community” on NBC.

He is repped by CAA, Cinetic Media and Sloan Supply.

Deadline first reported the development news.
