Paul Attanasio produces drama pilot ‘The Bends’ at FX.

Paul Attanasio has produced a drama pilot at FX based on the book “Killing Ground” by Gerald Seymour.

The one-hour pilot is titled “Fold.” According to the official blurb, “The series follows a seemingly perfect American family in Berlin when their secrets come to light as they hire a new nanny, unaware that she’s trying to expose the parents’ broken financial and family relationships.

Attanasio is writing and producing, while Mike Barker (“The Handyman’s Tale,” “Broadchurch,” “Fargo”) is set to direct the pilot and begin production. Warren Littlefield, Ann Johnson, Graham Littlefield and Lisa Harrison of Littlefield’s company also executive produce, as does Katie Sirik. The 20th is a television studio. Littlefield’s company is currently in a comprehensive deal with Disney, which owns 20th TV.

Attanasio has been nominated for two Academy Awards in his career, both for Best Screenplay. The first was for “Quiz Show” and the second was for “Donnie Brasco”. His other feature credits include “Sphere” and “The Sum of All Fears.” In television, Attanasio is known for creating hit shows like “Homicide: Life on the Street” and “Bull.” He also created the shows “Tommy” and “Gideon’s Crossing”.

He is repped by WME and Ziffren Brittenham.

The Littlefield Company produces Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale,” which is currently airing its fifth season. The company offers shows like “Fargo” on FX and “The Old Man” for FX on Hulu. The Littlefield Company recently produced the Emmy-winning limited series “Dopesic.”

Littlefield is repped by WME, TFC Management and Tom Hoberman. Barker is repped by CAA, Independent Talent Group and Jackoway, Austen, Tyerman. Sirik was corrupted by the CAA.
