In its continued bid to expand its footprint globally, Paramount+ will launch its service in France on December 1 and in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on December 8.
Already available across the US, Paramount+ launched in South Korea, the UK and Ireland in June and in Italy in September. The SVOD platform is expected to be available in 45 markets by the end of the year.

The streaming service from Paramount Global includes programming from popular brands such as Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, Showtime and the Smithsonian Channel.
Paramount+ Originals, led by “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” and Sylvester Stallone’s “Tulsa King,” will be complemented by a strong collection of local content in both regions. Later, the service will show French original titles “Masque: Annette Serial Killer”, an eight-episode young adult fantasy horror thriller; “The Signal” based on the bestseller by Maxime Chattam; and “Le Stade,” which follows the Toulouse-based rugby team, Stade Toulouse.
Audiences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will see originals like “Der Scheich,” an eight-episode story from Swiss filmmaker Danny Levy (“Steel Nacht”). “Simon Beckett’s Chemistry of Death” crime series based on the popular novels about forensic anthropologist Dr. David Hunter. Eco Cyber Thriller Series “Thin Line”; “Kohlrabenschwarz”, inspired by the eponymous mystery audio-drama series and the sixth season of the Nickelodeon series, “Spotlight”.
Paramount+ has been actively developing local content as it aims to produce up to 150 international originals by 2025.
Programming will be based on the original hit sitcom by the “Paw Patrol” and “SpongeBob SquarePants” franchises, as well as children’s and family favorites led by “ICarly” and following influencer Carly Shay. “Big Nate,” the new animated series revolves around a sixth grader, and the “Rugrats” reboot.
In France, thanks to a strong package with the Canal+ Group, Canal+ distributes Paramount+ in France and Paramount+ exclusively in French-speaking Switzerland.
In Germany and Austria, Paramount+ will also launch on Sky platforms as part of a new multi-year distribution deal.
With this deal, Sky Cinema subscribers to Sky will have access to Paramount+ content at no extra cost, and the Paramount+ standalone app will also launch on Sky Q.
Paramount+ is also available online on a variety of connected TV devices, with streaming from Apple, Amazon, Google, Samsung, Roku, mobile devices and more.
