Matt Rogers’ first comedy special “Have You Heard of Christmas?” It premieres December 2 on Showtime.
Based on his live show of the same name, the special will feature original holiday pop music and stand-up comedy as Rogers seeks recognition as the next “Prince of Christmas Pop.” The special was filmed for a live audience at Joe’s Pub at New York’s Public Theater, and features performances and short comedy skits from guest stars Bowen Young (“Saturday Night Live”) and comedy duo Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson (“Fucking. Identical Twins”).
Rogers is known for co-hosting the podcast “Las Culturistas” with Young, and recently starred in “I Love That For You” on Showtime and the Carchlight and Hulu film “Fire Island.” He also wrote for HBO Max’s “The Other Two” and Netflix’s “Q-Force,” along with the Quibi series “The Game Show.” In the year In 2021, Rogers was named one Difference10 must-see comics
“Did You Hear Christmas” was written by Rogers and will executive produce alongside Olivia Gehrke and Cara Maslain of 3 Arts Entertainment and Rotten Science’s Matthew Vaughn. Doron is directed by Max Hagai. Original music by Rogers and Henry Kopersky, with Rogers on stage as pianist.
