“Saturday Night Live” returns after the holiday break with host Keke Palmer making a big announcement: She’s having a baby!

“People were in my comments, ‘KK has a baby,’ ‘KK is pregnant,’ and I want to set the record straight,” Palmer says of her opening single. “i am!”

Palmer broke the big news with her animated and energetic monologue about her senior year starring in “Nope” and being nominated for an Academy Award — which she joked didn’t actually happen.

“I try really hard to keep it low-key because there’s so much going on,” she said. “You know, people would come up to me and say, ‘Congratulations,’ and ‘Shh, can you stop? I found an alcohol sponsor online.

All joking aside, Palmer couldn’t contain her excitement.

“Honestly, this is the biggest blessing, and I’m so happy,” she said. “Boys, I’m going to be a mother.”

She concluded on a glowing note.

“When I first got into comedy, and when I thought about standing on this stage, I was like, ‘KK, who are you going to be?’ I asked myself. “Will you be like Maya Rudolph? Eddie Murphy? A Kristen Wiig type?’ And now I’ll tell you exactly who I am: Baby, I’m Keke Palmer.

As well as her solo career, Palmer supported her time in 2006 by starring in “Akeelah and the Bee”.

“It was a great experience. I had a lot of fun, except for being yelled at by Laurence Fishburne, she said.

Palmer was very playful in the opening sketch of the network soap opera, where she was thrown into a fight scene and thrown into Cecily Strong’s furniture. It was revealed at the end that Sketch stunt doubles were used. She also poked fun at Drake in a female-centric skit — “Aubrey’s United Teens” — with the singer before. Later, her pregnancy was confirmed by an ultrasound scan, with her babies pointing to the dash driver from the door of her womb. She also appeared in a sketch exploring the origins of “Hello Kitty” (with a surprise cameo from Russian doll star Natasha Lyonne) and performed in a music video with SZA, singing the praises of the “Big Boys” in the chorus of “Holy Night.”

Palmer, 29, is expecting with boyfriend Darius Daulton, brother of “Unexpected” star Sarunas Jackson.

The episode opens with Herschel Walker and his sketch on the election cycle.

“My ex-wife says all I do is run away,” replied Kenan Thompson as Walker.

When asked about scandals in his past, the clock runs for over an hour on Walker gaffes.

“I feel very confident in this build,” he said.

“Saturday Night Live” stars Kenan Thompson, Cecily Strong, Mikey Day, Heidi Gardner, Igo Nwodim, Bowen Young, Chloe Fineman, Punky Johnson, Andrew Dismukes and Michael Che and Colin Jost host the weekly update.
