It’s a Murphy’s Law moment where you’re supposed to laugh, and Jay did, but on Sunday night, while visiting the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, CA… he heard the tires of a police car drive by a Tesla. .

Jay arrived with his wife MavisAnd everyone – HBPD included – quickly got past the nearby barrier, and the comedian immediately made it clear that he was ready and willing to joke about the garage fire.

TMZ broke the story … Leno was working on one of his vintage cars in his garage when a fuel line exploded on top of him, and nearly half of Jay’s upper body — including his face — caught fire.

After suffering 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his face, neck, hands and arms…he went to Grossman Burn Center and was treated in a hyperbaric chamber with skin grafts.

A few days after the accident, Jay told us he would be back standing in two weeks.

Very few people thought it was true, but Sunday night proved all the doubters wrong.

BTW, Jay has been doing Sunday nights at this club for decades, and when he announced his return, it sold out quickly. Fittingly, there was a large media crowd outside waiting to witness his spectacular comeback.
