Jason Bateman and Jude Law are developing a limited series ‘Black Rabbit’ for Netflix. Both will star in the project and serve as executive producers.

Zach Beilein and Kate Sussman will write the one-hour series, for which plot details are not yet available. Associated with the series are Bailin and Sussman’s Youngblood Pictures as well as Cumulative Films, a Bateman Productions banner with Michael Costigan and Riff Raff Entertainment, Lowe’s and Ben Jackson’s banner.

The project will bring Bateman to Netflix after the completion of “Ozark” in April of this year. He starred as Marty Byrd in the crime drama series, one of the streamer’s most successful of all time. According to Netflix’s self-reported numbers, Season 4 was the No. 10 most-watched English-language TV title of all time, and the “Ozark” seasons were the most-watched titles of the week several times during the program’s run. Besides “Black Rabbit,” Bateman’s upcoming work includes co-creating and executive producing “Florida Man” for Netflix and “Based on a True Story” for Peacock.

Known for such films as “The Gifted Mr. Ripley,” “Cold Mountain” and “Holiday,” Law recently appeared in “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” and will next play Captain Hook in Disney’s “Peter Pan and.” Wendy” and Henry VII in Karim Ainouz’s “Firebrand”. On the small screen, he appears in the Disney+ series “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.”

Bailey is best known for writing “King Richard,” which earned him an Oscar nomination, and co-writing “Creed III.” His wife, Sussman, is a producer with him on several projects in development through Youngblood, including the crime drama “The Order” and a film with Tim and Trevor White’s Star Throw Entertainment.
