George Takei had nothing nice to say about his former “Star Trek” co-star William Shatner in a new interview with The Guardian. Take, who played Sulu opposite Shatner’s Captain Kirk during his “Star Trek” tenure, said there was a healthy camaraderie among the cast members “except for the original Donna.” The actor appeared to be referring to Shatner, who later addressed him directly when asked if any actor agreed with Shatner. “No, none of us,” replied Taki.

Shatner was publicly criticized by his “Star Trek” co-stars for an interview with The Times UK earlier this month. “I started to understand that what they do is for the public,” Shatner said. “After 60 years, after some events, they are on that road. Don’t you think this is a little strange? It’s like a disease. George never stopped blackmailing my name. These people are bitter and frustrated. I have no patience with them. Why do we trust people corrupted by envy and hatred?

“I know that he came to London to promote his book and use his name to be known to the public. So I decided not to use his name to get publicity,” Take responded in a new Guardian interview. “I have many important topics that I want to publicize, so I don’t want to mention them.” [Shatner] Absolutely not in this interview. Although I just did. He is a cantankerous old man and I will leave him to his devices. I don’t play his game.

In the year In 2021, Takei publicly mocked Shatner’s space flight on Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin. “He’s boldly going where other people have gone,” Take said on page 6. “He’s a guinea pig… a 90-year-old isn’t the best specimen, so he’ll be an unfit specimen!”

Takee is currently doing the press rounds in the UK ahead of the musical “Allegiance”, which has just begun its British production.
