Zoe Saldaña’s limited series “From Scratch” was Netflix’s top title between October 24 and October 30, with 72 million hours watched.
This viewing period marks the first full week of Romance on Netflix. It debuted at No. 3 last week with 32.2 million hours watched after three days on the stream. “From Scratch” is based on the memoir of the same name by Thembi Locke, who co-created the series with her sister showrunner Attica Locke.
“From Scratch” is the first project to top Ryan Murphy’s recent Netflix output. Between the Jeffrey Dahmer drama “Monster” and the limited series “The Watcher,” Murphy spent five weeks at the top of the chart. In the Oct. 24-30 window, “The Spectator” dropped to second place on the English-language TV chart with 67.5 million hours watched — still the second full week on Netflix. “Monster” ranks fifth in its fifth full week with 41 million hours.
“Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curios” debuted at No. 3 on the chart with 50 million hours in its first six days. The horror anthology series has eight episodes, two co-written by del Toro and six written and directed by filmmakers Vincenzo Natali, David Pryor, and Anna Lilly Amirpour.
Season 3 “Love Is Blind” landed at No. 4 for 42.1 million hours watched from October 24-30, which was a full week for the first four episodes and five days for the next three episodes. The reality dating show debuted in the same spot last week with 24.9 million in the first five days of its first episode ban. Episodes 8-10 will premiere on November 2nd and the finale will premiere on November 9th, so the season is expected to remain in the Netflix Top 10 for weeks to come.
At No. 6 was “Unsolved Mysteries,” volume 3 with 14.1 million hours, down from last week’s debut in the same spot with 18.9 million. Followed by the 13.8 million hour debut of “Bastard Boy and the Devil Himself,” an adaptation of Sally Green’s young adult novel “Half Bad.” Eighth place went to “28 Days Hacked” Season 1 with 13.7 million hours, up from last week’s 13 million.
At the bottom of the chart were two premieres: Season 6 of the animated comedy “Big Mouth” with 13.6 million hours after three days and Season 1 of the children’s show “Little Angel” with 10.8 million hours.
“The Good Nurse” debuted on the movie chart with 68.3 million hours, making it the second-highest-watched title of the week across all of Netflix, behind “From Scratch.” Season 1 “Til Money Do Us Part” topped the non-English TV chart with 51.5 million hours.
