2022 Christmas Movies: The Complete TV Schedule for Hallmark, Lifetime Plus

The holidays are upon us starting Friday, October 21st – and this year, there are more places than ever to find content. In addition to Hallmark, Lifetime, Great American Family and UpTV, this year it will feature original holiday movies on BET+, Discovery+, CBS, Netflix, OWN and Fox Nation.

Hallmark, which includes both the Hallmark Channel and Movies & Mysteries, will be leading the way with 40 new movies this year, bringing back the tradition of festival movies that air 24 hours a day, seven days a week, starting Friday. For the first time, the network has a holiday movie featuring an LGBTQ couple, spotlighted in “Holiday Sitter,” starring Jonathan Bennett and George Crisa.

Lifetime’s slate, which debuts Nov. 5, includes several reunions: “Grey’s Anatomy” stars Sarah Drew and Justine Bruning in “The Deer Games Homecoming” and “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” co-stars Joe Lando and Jane Seymour Meet for the “Christmas Spark”.

The Great American Family will release 18 films this year under the vision of former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott, including both starring and executive producing with Candace Cameron Bure. Paul Green, Daniel Lissing, Merritt Patterson, Jill Wagner, Cameron Matheson, Jane Lilly, Danica McKellar and Neil Bledsoe will appear on the network.

App TV is close behind The Greatest American Family with 17 originals, while streaming services BET+ and Discovery+ enter the holiday content universe with 10 and 4 movies, respectively. CBS and Netflix will each air three originals, while Fox Nation and Amazon Freevee will each have one.
